This description about fix a remote control for a TV DVD player whatever that the buttons just don’t work well on there anymore first thing I do is open it up and remove the batteries and you need to open the unit up and so depending on your particular remote control there might be screws or there might be snaps on Remote. One there looks like there’s a screw here and a screw here little Phillips so go ahead and remove those.
Even after the screws are removed there still might be some sort of snap mechanism in there so you have to figure out how to get that open then always double-check to make sure that you’ve gotten any all the screws out of there sometimes they might behind underneath of a sticker or something on there but there are no stickers on some remotes. so I think there’s some sort of snapping snap mechanisms and then just carefully get it to snap open.
Now when you have contacts like chip you can see as the little squiggly little lines kind of all meet you what you want to do is go ahead and take like a soft razor like a little gum eraser on here and then just very gently just rub on the contacts to help remove any dirt or oxidation on there. Try not to rub too much on anything else and then you can also look at the rubber pad at the back part of the buttons are a lot of times in remote.
if you’ve spilt something on there and it looks like there’s some maybe some stuff in here you go ahead and just pull this out and wash it in warm soapy water and you might also go ahead and wash this part out while you’re at it get any dirt and stuff out of there. Now another thing you can do is take a little bit of alcohol rubbing alcohol isopropyl alcohol and using a q-tip. Clean all the little rubber contacts on the back of the little pad there just go ahead and clean the little surfaces.
