The Redmi 9 Power has a side mounted fingerprint reader for biometric unlock purposes.

Now the elephant in the room is the 6000 mAh battery inside this smartphone. This is Redmi’s first 6000 mAh battery in a smartphone, so that makes a first. The phone comes with a 22.5W fast charger and that too inside the box! But the phone only supports 18W fast charging. The phone also supports reverse charging. That means it can be used as a portable power bank for charging other devices on the go. Ultra Battery Saver Mode is also another feature that Xiaomi included in the Redmi 9 Power.

The Redmi 9 Pro comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage options. It is of UFS2.2 type. It has a dedicated Micro SD card slot for storage expansion. The processor used inside is the Snapdragon 662. It is a 11nm processor. That means combined with the 6000 mAh battery, the phone should offer outstanding battery performance. It is an octa core chipset. The GPU operations are handled by the Adreno 610. The phone also supports hi-res audio up to 24-bit/192kHz. For connectivity and charging, we have USB Type-C 2.0.

For the camera department, we have a quad camera setup on the back. The primary sensor is a 48MP unit. An 8MP ultrawide sensor is also available. The other two sensors are the usual pretty useless 2MP depth sensor and 2MP macro sensors. The selfie camera upfront is an 8MP unit housed inside a teardrop notch. This is a usual camera setup for a smartphone in this price category today. The phone is available in four different color options namely, Mighty Black, Fiery Red, Electric Green, Blazing Blue.
