The oppo A93 was announced last October with Helio P95 chipset and it’s successor A94 was announced yesterday. The oppo A94 is sporting the same chipset from it’s successor, the Helio P95. It has an AMOLED screen of 6.43″ size and a FullHD+ resolution. It runs android 11 out of the box with oppo’s ColorOS 11.1. The A94 has 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. But the storage can be expanded further using a microSD card slot. But currently wo do not have information if it is a dedicated or hybrid one.
The oppo A94 has a quad camera setup on the back and a 32MP selfie shooter, that makes a total of five cameras. The primary camera on the back is a 48MP unit. The other three sensors are ultrawide, macro and a monochrome unit, which is pretty useful rather than adding a useless depth sensor. Oppo have not confirmed the exact resolution counts of the ultrawide, macro and a monochrome unit. But it is likely to have an 8MP resolution for the ultrawide camera and 2MP resolutions for the macro and monochrome sensors.
The oppo A94 has some of the AI features seen on it’s recent smartphones. Some of them are AI Color Portrait Video, Dual-View video and monochrome video. The phone also has oppo’s AI Scene Enhancement 2.0. This algorithm can automatically recognize almost 20 types of shooting scenes and can enhance or adjust their color science accordingly. So we can expect great outputs out of the camera as always from an oppo midranger smartphone. Software enhancements have been a main factor of the quality of the images for oppo smartphones for a while now. The same can be expected from the A94 as well.
The battery capacity of the oppo A94 is 4310 mAh that has a 30W fast charging. The phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack. For connectivity, we have a USB-C port. It also sports an in-display fingerprint scanner. The thickness of the phone is 7.8 mm and the weight is 172 grams. Fluid black and Fantastic Purple are the two colors oppo offers for this phone and those are stunning to look at. The phone page is live on the UAE website of oppo. But we do not have more information on the pricing and availability of this phone. We can expect an India launch shortly as well.
