The Moto G10 and the Moto G30 was unveiled last month with big screens and huge batteries. Both the phones had quad rear cameras as well. Motorola have announced that the G30 and G10 power will be launched in India on March 9. The moto G10 Power is a new smartphone and it seems like it is another version of the G10 with a higher battery capacity. Both the smartphones will be launched in India on March 9 at 12PM local time. Both the phones will be a Flipkart exclusive as of now and will come with a new feature known as ‘ThinkShield’ for advanced security as the poster suggests. We will have to find more info on it after the launch.
The Moto G30 was unveiled last month with a Snapdragon 662 chipset. It has an LCD display with a size of 6.5″ and HD+ resolution (720p). But the refresh rate is a higher 90Hz which makes up for the lower resolution. The moto G30 will have a 5000 mAh battery which can charge at 20W. 20W cannot be considered as fast charging by today’s charging standards. The phone will have a 13MP selfie camera with a quad camera setup on the back. The Primary sensor will be a 64MP unit with a quad bayer sensor, an 8MP ultrawide unit along with a 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor ( like the most budget offerings today). The Moto G30 will have a fingerprint reader on the back for biometric authentication. The phone comes with 4GB and 6GB of RAM with 128GB storage options. But we will have to wait until the launch to find out what will be the memory and storage configurations available in India.
The Moto G10 Power is a new smartphone. It will be a Moto G10 hardware with a bigger battery to serve loyalty to the “Power” moniker. We can also expect a faster charging speed. As per the image shared by Motorola, the G10 Power looks very similar to the Moto G10 with a notched display and a quad camera setup on the back. There will also be a fingerprint scanner on the back for biometric authentication. The Moto G10 will be running a Snapdragon 460 chipset. The display is a 6.5″ one with HD+ resolution. But we cannot expect the faster refresh rate on the G10 Power. However, the phone will likely offer a battery capacity more than 5000mAh. The camera setup on the back will be a quad setup with 48MP primary camera, 8MP ultrawide and the usual 2MP depth and macro sensors. The selfie shooter will be of 8MP.
Both these smartphones will be awesome additions to the budget smartphone market in India. After the Lenovo acquisition of Motorola, the company is mainly focusing on budget, midrange and upper midrange segments, rather than flagships. A personal quote – the selfie camera quality offered by the budget, midrange and upper midrange phones of Motorola are far better than the flagship phones by other manufacturers that costs more than 3-4 times money. Hope that Moto will raise to it’s glorious golden days as before!
