Dr Ambedkar Scheme for Social Integration through Inter-Caste Marriages. How to register? (2024)

Dr Ambedkar Scheme goals are to recognize the newlyweds’ socially audacious decision to marry outside of their caste and to provide them with financial support to help them settle down in the early years of their marriage. It is made clear that this should not be interpreted as an add-on program to one that creates jobs or reduces poverty. The Dr. Ambedkar Foundation Chairman and Minister of Social Justice & Empowerment will have the final say over whether to approve the incentive for the couple.

We frequently hear reports of honor killings. These figures are increasing, according to reports distributed by the Dalit Human Rights Defenders Network. A VIBRANT STEP toward ending caste-related inequality is the Dr. Ambedkar Scheme for Social Integration via Inter-Caste Marriages.

Dr. Ambedkar was a fierce supporter of Dalits. The speech he composed in 1936 but never delivered paints a clear picture of the disagreements against these systems of injustice. He vehemently denounced the propaganda that caste-related issues should be eliminated. The Indian government launched the Dr. Ambedkar Scheme for Social Integration via Inter-Caste Marriages because it adheres to this philosophy.

Dr Ambedkar Scheme :Amount of Incentive

The Dr. Ambedkar Scheme offers a reward of Rs. 2.50 lakh for a legally recognized intercaste marriage. The qualifying pair will receive 50% of the incentive amount in the form of a DD in their joint name, and the remaining 50% after five years.
