Ajay Rajawat, the customer, documented his experience on social media by sharing screenshots and an unboxing video that revealed a startling finding. It important to note that reports of this kind of problem with Flipkart have been made previously. Everything you require is provided here.
fake iPhone
Ajay bought the item from Flipkart during the Republic Day sale, which ran from January 13 to January 19. When Rajawat opened the box after receiving the iPhone 15 on January 15, he discovered what he believes to be a faulty device with phoney packaging.
When the unboxing video posted on X (previously Twitter), it became clear that the delivery person had followed the ‘Open Box delivery’ protocol when opening the box. The customer posted screenshots of the iPhone’s Battery section, which shows a message indicating that it is not possible to confirm the authenticity of the Apple battery. “Unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine Apple battery,” the message says. For this battery, health information is not available.”
In response to the complaints made by the customers, Flipkart acknowledged the problem and offered support. Flipkart apologised for the customer’s bad experience in a statement. For privacy reasons, the customer asked to share the order ID via private chat, and was advised not to reply to phoney social media accounts that were posing as the brand.

This incident raises concerns about the quality control procedures in place at Flipkart and adds to a number of previously reported issues with the company. Customers are depending more and more on e-commerce sites to make their purchases, and when they receive faulty or fake goods, it erodes their trust in these sites.
In addition, Kochi resident MK Satheesh recently encountered a similar situation when his expensive Flipkart purchase of a OnePlus 11 5G smartphone turned into a frustrating ordeal. Satheesh paid a substantial amount of Rs 53,098 including delivery charges, allegedly receiving a used device with physical damages instead of a new one.
Even with the delivery staff present, Satheesh found that the phone was non-functional upon unboxing, even though the seller, “Turst,” had the “Flipkart Assured Badge,” which is a symbol of trust. Satheesh’s purchase provided a potential solution with a seven-day service centre for replacements or repairs and a 12-month warranty on the phone, whereas most consumers would seek a return or replacement.
